Don't Post and pray-there are better ways to recruit

Everybody agrees what recruiting is all about: finding the best people for the best jobs. Recruiting need not be a "zero-sum" game with winners and losers. If everyone is on the same page, with the common goal of finding the best people for the best jobs, why must there be risk? Why must there be losses?

It is no secret that Job Board sites such as Monster.com make employers pay up front to post jobs, with no guarantees. In this scenario, all the risk is placed on the employer. These sites have become so mainstream that many times employers and recruiters fail to realize that they are being exploited, and unnecessarily so. If employers share the same goal as the site they use, why must employers put themselves at risk?

There is a new trend in recruiting and it has age old principles. Contingency recruiting has been around forever, because people on both sides of the spectrum-from employers to recruiters-realized the simple fact they could turn the situation into a "win-win." Contingency recruiting still exists today, but the internet is revolutionizing the field.

The internet, with its immense communicative capacity, has given recruiters and candidates infinite opportunities to contact each other. And with this great blessing has come the curse of hundreds of unqualified resumes, and thousands of dollars in posting fees. Employers pay these fees, and filter through these garbage resumes in the hope that in reaching thousands of potential candidates they are reaching their dream one. This may even work on occasion, but hey, as the saying goes, "even a bind dog finds a bone once in a while." There is an easier way, and there are many sites which think they have found it. The best sites, for my money, are the ones that operate on a success based pricing model.

Site aggregators like Indeed.com are certainly an improvement, and new sites such as RealMatch are better still. However both of these sites still cost money! RealMatch is a platform that markets itself by offering "pay-for-performance pricing," which is a step up from the pay to post model. However, with RealMatch employers still pay merely to open resumes. Why can't recruiters, employers, and these websites get fully on the same team?

A revolutionary new recruitment concept has been introduced by Yellojobs.com which incorporates the best features of the traditional approaches, while eliminating the obstacles. The Yellojobs model merges referral recruiting, success-based pricing and social networking-all powered via the internet! And it offers unlimited FREE job posting. Employers pay only for the candidates they actually hire!
